They can't catch me never gonna find me. They're never gonna know that I'm the High Plains Drifter.

Quick Hitters and Random Thoughts

--Making of The Pacific is on HBO right now and holy crap if I didn't already have high expectations for this they're now through the roof. Sunday, March 14th HBO.

--Why wouldn't you spend the next 20 minutes watching the making of the "I'm on a horse" Old Spice commercial?

--Of course Bourdain is on Yo Gabba Gabba.

--If I never, ever see a shot on TV of any woman much less Kourtney Kardashian pull a baby out of herself again I’ll be a happy man. And if there’s a bigger d-bag on TV than Kourtney’s man Scott I don’t know who it’d be.

--Drunk History and Designated Driver were outstanding on Funny or Die Presents. “Dough-nut mind if I do.”

--Jacqueline Beems married that jet-flying, limousine-riding, kiss-stealing, son of a gun Ric Flair a few months ago. Over the weekend new wifey was charged with misdemeanor assault in a domestic incident. I flipped on TNA the other day and saw Ric working the mic like only Ric can do. I had no idea he had moved on to TNA. Remember how awful his son, David, was on the mic much less in the ring back in WCW?

--I’ve never wanted to see a car wreck as much as I wanted to see Jay Leno’s car hit the side of the mountain in his NBC promo about going back to The Tonight Show.

--Evan Lysacek and Nastia Liukin?! Suck it Plushenko? It's not hard to believe Plushenko’s website gives him credit for a platinum medal instead of the silver he won. What a tool. And apparently goalie Ryan Miller is dating Noureen DeWulf. If you don't recognize her name now you sure as hell will when The 41 Year Old Virgin Who Knocked Up Sarah Marshall and felt Superbad about it comes out...or not. She was in an episode of Chuck so obviously her hotness can’t be questioned.

--Ain't no one run smack like a Trinity squash player!

--I hope USA and Canada meet again in hockey. That was some good stuff first time around.

--Maybe this show will know what to do with Starbuck/Katee Sackhoff as opposed to 24.

--It’s not close to being in the same ballpark as Rome and yet I’m still watching Spartacus: Blood and Sand. I was worried after the first couple of episodes, but it's picked up a lot. It's more gory violence now than the cartoonish violence of the first episode or two. I can’t imagine there’s ever been a bloodier show on television.

--Archer has been renewed, which is good. If FX would move it to earlier in the week it’d be great. Thursday nights are kind of packed. If you haven’t been watching you have a while to catch up since the second season won’t debut until 2011. In 2011 we’ll all have a lot of time to catch up on shows if there’s no NFL.

--So was Men of a Certain Age actually good? I assumed because it was on TNT and because Ray Romano was in it, well my expectations weren’t high yet I've heard it did not suck.

--It’s about time you gave the boot to Ashley, Cheryl. How are the likes of Cheryl and Abbey not in FIFA yet? That game can barely get better as it is.

--There’s disgusting and then there’s Delaware pediatrician Dr. Earl Bradley facing 471 counts of alleged abuse of 103 children. Burn in hell.

--Daryl Morey was on the BS Report this week for the full 60 minutes. It passes the time during your lunch hour.

--Hypocrite much ESPN? Tony Kornheiser points out Hannah Storm’s wardrobe choices, then needlessly apologizes and you still suspend him?

--And I thought 24 has been going on too long. Die Hard 5?!

--I had no idea The Miami Herald was asking for donations from its online readers. Hilarious. It decided to stop the “experiment” this week, which I assume means the newspaper business is on the rebound.

Questions, comments or if you’re almost too embarrassed to admit you just barely watched The Hangover this week…Ken Jeong = gold…

    Danny,

I had the same reservations about "Men of A Certain Age" when I saw the promos. I decided to give it a chance and it is good. Ray Romano has done what people in Hollywood rarely do and that is leave a character behind and go in an opposite direction with a new character. The series just got renewed for a second season. Andre Braugher plays a good character but i wish FX would've renewed "Thief" a couple of years ago.

  2. Thanks. I guess I'll have to check out the first season. Andre Braugher is one helluva actor and why I gave Thief a chance. Ray with a gambling problem wotks for me.
