The brew was in my hand and he was on my tip. His voice was hoarse, his throat was dry he asked me for a sip.

Everyone be safe.

Quick Hitters and Random Thoughts

--Nice job Juan and Rocky. Diaz dominated, DOMINATED Katsidis which made the scoring just insanely ridiculous. WTF were you looking at Glen Hamada?!? Will Barrios ever be able to kiss again. Damn that lip was nasty. We gots some good stuff this weekend with Sergio Mora meeting Vernon Forrest before Joel Casamayor goes against Juan Manuel Marquez. We also have Nate Campbell against unbeaten Joan Guzman. Another solid weekend of fights. Apparently we're not going to be seeing the man, the myth, the Margarito the rest of this year.

--It's gonna have a lot of haters, but not me. I'm a sucker. I liked True Blood. Get it? Sucker. Aw screw you, it was funny. Don't make me sic a bunch of fang bangers on you.

--Thank you to Entourage for getting back to showing some nudity. Drama has a Viking Quest game out. And props to Lloyd for getting his name added to the opening credits. Entourage is back and that's an eh thing. Apparently it's not much of a thing for many as ratings were down nearly 30% from its premiere last June.

--Lance Armstrong coming out of retirement? Try to curb your enthusiasm for next year's Tour de Drug Busts.

--Of course, Stephen Colbert's digitized DNA will be put into the International Space Station for preservation.

--That was the most uncomfortabe episode of Mad Men ever. Thankfully Jane isn't leaving. She's just a little hot and her and Joan's bitchfests are awesome.

--Damn if I had seen the commercial before I bought my new car (and was, you know, wealthy) I would have gotten that Lincoln that has Technologic playing during the spot.

--Hey Patrick Ewing, WTF?! Really? Lenin shorts?

--I can't wait to see The Wrestler. Wrestling, Darren Arofonosky, Mickey Rourke...what's not to like.

--A Ghostbusters 3 script is in development? Judd Apatow might get involved? Well duh.

--September 28th VH-1 gives us a Behind the Music Live event featuring New Kids on the Block as they get ready for a concert and we'll even get the first three songs of the show. Unfortunately I have preferences to which three I'd like to hear.

--Apparently Jacques Reeves tried to tackle Knowshon Moreno over the weekend.

--How awesome is Urlacher's Swagger commercial?

--Saturday Spike is giving us a The Ultimate Fighter Season One flashback showing all 13 episodes of that season with a reunion special as well. That season gave us Forrest, Stephan Bonnar, Josh Koscheck, Diego Sanchez, Kenny Florian, Mike Swick, Nate Quarry, Chris Leben among others.

--Triumph visited the Republican National Convention. I think you know what ensued...

Part Deux

--Natalie Gulbis on the next edition of The Apprentice?

Questions, comments or if you agreed when you read on TVSquad that the scene between Wyms and that Spook Street banger was a top 10 of all-time for The Shield...
