*&*%&$*$ #*!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sonuva....

Well that sucked. The Rockets fought their asses of for 82 regular season games in order to get homecourt advantage for at least one round of the playoffs. And yet here they are on their way to Salt Lake down 0-2 to the team Houston loves to hate. So disappointing. So deflating. So frustrating. And unfortunately so typical. This team makes it hard on itself time and time again. Why should this postseason any different? Because we saw something special in the regular season? Because the bench is stronger than it's been in years? Because Rick Adelman is hands down the Coach of the Year? Because these guys continued to play well without Yao? Because these guys put together the 2nd longest winning streak in NBA history? Well, yeah. And yet there they are down 0-2 with the biggest odds stacked against them since the Beavers faced the Dragons with just boring ol' Scott Howard and not the Wolf, but at least the Beavers had Chubbs down low. This team is just being out-talented right now. Disgustingly plain and simple. That doesn't mean I'm giving up on this series because I know the boys aren't. This team has faced adversity numerous times and has responded on almost every occasion. Is it rare for a visitor to win in Utah? Yep, but it's going to happen. It's gotta happen. I'm not ready to let this rollercoaster of a season end without one more thrill.

--Oh and you people who left Toyota Center with two minutes left and Houston only down 5....please don't bother going to any more sporting events in the city. You're not needed. Save your money and let real fans attend because you suck.

Quick Hitters and Random Thoughts

--Leo drunk dials Giselle?! Ummm, Leo you have Bar Rafaeli already so maybe stop being so greedy?

--I'm pretty sure you knew this already, but E:60 is a joke. Just watch the opening credits and you instantly realize how stupid that whole thing is with how seriously they try to present themselves. And that silly roundtable discussion shown in black and white. Real Sports is about as good a sports magazine show you're gonna get. It's hard to believe the Bryant Gumbel who hosts that show is the same one who set broadcasting play-by-play back 20 years. Anyway, where was I? Oh yeah, the San Diego Union-Tribune has some terrible, horrible, no good, very bad news. It discovered that a few of the domestic beer options sold at Petco contain just 3.2% alcohol. At places where beers don't cost $8.50 the beers usually have a percentage of alcohol by weight of 4% or a little less if it's a light. The team says the lower-alcohol beer is part of an "alcohol management plan." A plan that sucks and is apparently utilized at a lot of sporting events. This because it keeps the fans less drunk although if I pay $10 for a beer I'm going to exaggerate said beer's effects. The lower-alcohol kegs are cheaper for the team's concessions services to buy by about 32% or $20-$25.

--If you didn't notice and how could you, I mean, it was an open wheel race in Japan, but regardless Danica Patrick won her first race knocking down the wall of male dominance in the sports nobody gives two sh*** about.

--If you're keeping score at home
White Boy- 1
Hopkins- 0
I HATE watching Hopkins' fights and there's no way I would've watched this one if it wasn't on regular ol' HBO.

--Whoever was making them the Horry Kow shirts in honor of Fukudome that featured the Cubs' logo with slanted eyes and Harry Caray's glasses is no longer being made. Something about being racially insensitive. Gee, can't imagine which part is insensitive.

--ESPN is having a eulogy contest?!

--Miley Cyrus is going to come out with her memoirs next spring?!
--Seriously Tim McCarver what the hell are you talking about?

--Thankfully Mike and Mike are off the Spelling Bee coverage. Tom Bergeron and, more importantly, Erin Andrews in.

--10,000 people gathered at Colorado's Boulder campus for the annual 4:20 toke on 4/20. Best comment: 4/20: It's Like Earth Day, Without the Ambition.
