We don't only rock the house but we'll house we rock. We don't stroll but we roll straight to the top.

Quick Hitters and Random Thoughts

--Thanks to everyone who reads here and/or follows me for their congratulations. I really, really appreciate it. Saturday went off without a hitch…except for the whole forgetting what I did with the ring on the morning of and my bride hating my rental suit forcing us to buy a suit 9 hours before “I Do.” Other than that once the Friday Night Lights theme music played and we walked out the worst part was over. Unless you consider drunkenly dancing to Justin Beiber and doing the splits the worst part. I don’t. And credit to all my guests for knocking back 130 bottles of wine and champagne, 242 cocktails and 215 beers. Well done.

This was my immediate future had I not found that ring.

--Lights clearly suffers from pugilistic dementia if he ever thought about ever firing Ed Romeo.

--Of course Cuttino Mobley wants to open up a medical marijuana dispensary in Rhode Island.

--I’m about two episodes of Shameless away from catching up and I still can’t figure out whether I like it or not. I know I’m not a big fan of many William H. Macy and/or Joan Cusack scenes. On the other hand, Emmy Rossum takes her shirt off more often than Matthew McConaughey, so there’s that.

--Solid read on Jon Stewart from Dave D’Alessandro. Love the quote from Oscar Wilde that it starts with, “If you want to tell people the truth, make them laugh, otherwise they’ll kill you.”

This picture never gets old.

--Every once in awhile I’ll pay attention while my wife watches Glee. This was one of those weeks. My bad. It was like a train wreck of why I can barely tolerate the show anymore. Guest stars, stupid plot, tired storylines (ooooh Emma likes Will!) and I would say too many songs except the songs kept everyone from their awful dialogue.

--Joan Rivers’ Piece of Work was as good as advertised. Interesting stuff except for the horrific opening scenes of her putting on her face. It was like seeing Darth Vader without his helmet. I love me some Johnny Carson, but had no idea he reacted that way when she got her own show on Fox. I also liked her initial reaction to being the subject of a Celebrity Roast.

It’s on Netflix Watch Instantly if you’re so inclined.

--I watched bits and pieces of the last season of Last Comic Standing and beyond Jonathan Thymius I really liked Mike DeStefano. Sorry to hear that he passed away due to a heart attack this last weekend.
In a sadly somewhat related story Comedy Central is going to air a Greg Giraldo tribute March 18th.

--Guy Fieri BBQ Sauces. Oh joy. Hopefully he’ll sell enough to buy him another bright yellow Lamborghini like the one that was stolen from him recently. Guy Fieri owns 10 sports cars. Just let that sink in for a minute.

--I can’t imagine what it’s like to have border agents question the validity of your pregnancy and sick aunt story all the while you have over 34,000 ecstasy pills in your fake padded stomach.

--The good news is Community and Parks and Recreation are getting hour-long finales in May. The bad news is, wait, there is no bad news…at least not yet. Can you imagine NBC not picking up these shows? Oh, you can? Well at least it won’t be until after we get a CommunityPulp Fiction style. Out-standing.
Finally got my Donald Glover/Troy "Butt Soup" Barnes/Childish Gambino tix.

--Can it be possible? Can I, in the year 2011, possibly start Fred Taylor AND Tiki Barber as my fantasy RBs? I mean sure I won’t win, but oh the terrible memories it would conjure up.

--All you need to really know is AMC. But if you need a trailer to get you excited for The Killing then here ya go…

--Sometimes promos lie. Sometimes not. Fox’s Breaking In promos don’t look like a lie. It’s going to be awful.

  1. I always have zero energy and no motivation. Congrats on the wedding.

Should've planned the wedding for this weekend after Granato gives up drinking for Lent. Could have saved about half the booze money.

The Killing looks great. I hope the kid playing video games wit the X ends up dead. I already hate him.

Congrats! And walking out to the FNL theme might be the coolest thing ever. I wonder if I can talk Adrianne Palicki into doing that when we get married.
